Cinnamon Ginger and Lucuma Anti-inflammatory Smoothie

 

This smoothie is perfect around the Holidays. The combination of cinnamon, ginger and lucuma is slightly spicy and warming. It’s rich in protein, phytochemicals, omega 3’s, vitamins, iron, potassium, beta-carotene and antioxidants. Enjoy!

 

Ingredients:

2 cups unsweetened almond or coconut milk

1-2 cups of frozen kale

½-frozen banana

½ pear

1-tablespoon lucuma powder

1-tablespoon ground flaxseed

1 teaspoon minced ginger

1-teaspoon cinnamon

4 coconut water ice cubes

 

Blend in a high-speed blender and enjoy! This would also be delicious omitting the ice-cubes and served warm.
