One of the most powerfully cleansing foods, pears contain pectin, a soluble fiber that keeps the digestive tract healthy. Pears are both laxative and diuretic and help to keep your colon in good health. They have a high iodine content, which can aid thyroid function. Eating ‘only’ pears is an excellent way to detox and helps control cravings. Pears are available all year round. Use harder varieties with savory foods and use sweeter, juicer ones for juicing and desserts.

1 cup organic coconut milk
1 cup water
½ cup frozen spinach or 1 large handful of baby spinach
1 cup frozen broccoli
1 large ripe pear
½ inch piece of ginger peeled and grated
½ of a frozen banana
1 medjool date pitted
freshly ground nutmeg
½ teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon lucuma powder (optional)
4 coconut ice cubes

Mix in a high-speed blender and enjoy!!!
